Becoming an Investor in Education means the following to your business:

• You will have the opportunity to work with young people who are interested in your industry and your business
  
• Your business will be profiled to all young people between the age of 14 to 19 in Rotherham schools and colleges via the u-xplore e-enabled interface
  
• Your business information will be used to support the curriculum and in doing so helping young people connect their learning to real life business
  
• Your business will feature on the Investors in Education website promoting your achievements with young people
  
• You will have the opportunity to identify talented young people whom you may wish to offer apprenticeships who in time may have an impact on your business
  
• You will carry a health and safety passport ensuring your business is fit for purpose for any young person entering it
  
• Your business will be recognised by the local council and the chamber of commerce and endorsed to carry the Investors in Education standard
  
• All your involvement in the above will be managed by the Investors in Education staff who will provide the following services:
  • Identify practical learning opportunities within your business
  • Advise on a suitable programme of work for young people visiting your business to ensure a worthwhile experience for both parties
  • Create a profile of your business that’s understandable and accessible by young people
  • Collect your business information to support the local curriculum
  • Manage requests for a member of staff from your business to speak at a local school or college
  • Manage your interactions with education via a central helpdesk
